In the countryside of the province of Siena, amid rows of cypress trees and rolling hills that stretch toward the horizon, a project is taking shape that interprets the swimming pool not merely as a functional element, but as a landscape feature. A pure, horizontal line that engages with the agricultural geometry of the Valdichiana and the intense light of Tuscany.

The project blends seamlessly into the rural setting, avoiding any invasive elements. The pool unfolds like a ribbon of water stretching parallel to the landscape, emphasizing the depth of the view. The infinity edge amplifies the sense of continuity between the water and the countryside, creating a visual line that guides the eye toward the cultivated fields and olive trees.

The light-colored stone paving, warm and textured, creates a platform suspended above the greenery. The surfaces are minimalist and precise, designed to highlight the simplicity of the architectural design. The lightweight, sculptural sun loungers are arranged as orderly elements within a balanced composition, while the low hedges and existing trees form a natural frame that protects the space without enclosing it.

The project undergoes a radical transformation as the sun sets. The integrated lighting along the water’s edge and along the pathways creates an intimate and refined atmosphere. The structures fade into the twilight, allowing the pool’s shimmering surface to emerge as the visual focal point and a place for socializing. The addition of a bar area and elevated seating spaces introduces a convivial atmosphere, transforming the setting into a venue for gatherings and summer evenings.

This swimming pool in the countryside of the province of Siena is not just a place to relax: it is a landscape design. It strikes a balance between architecture and nature, between materials and light, between contemporary design and rural heritage. It is a place where water becomes a mirror of the surrounding landscape and discreetly enhances the timeless beauty of the Tuscan countryside.
