The Podere la Chiesa Winery, designed and built by our studio in 2011 in Terricciola, was chosen this past April as the venue for a fundraising event promoted by the Dottore Pietro Ciccorossi Association.
The initiative succeeded in blending art, architecture, and solidarity within a context rich in meaning. The photographic exhibition conveyed, through powerful and moving images, the everyday reality of a country where access to medical care and health services remains extremely limited.
The evening was organized with a dual purpose: to provide tangible support to a local healthcare facility and to raise public awareness on the importance of hepatitis B screening and infant vaccination—two fundamental interventions for the prevention of chronic diseases in low-resource countries.
For our studio, it was a great honor to see a space we conceived and built transform into a place of participation, awareness, and commitment. We believe that architecture should not be limited to offering form and function, but can—and must—also serve as a framework for experiences that leave a lasting impact.
From a design standpoint, the winery project stands out for its integration into the landscape, its celebration of local materials, and the masterful use of natural light. On this occasion, the space also demonstrated its flexibility, hosting a cultural and social event of great human value, and confirming itself as a living container—open to meaningful initiatives.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Dottore Pietro Ciccorossi Association for involving our studio in this initiative and for the invaluable work they carry out every day in complex contexts, with passion, expertise, and dedication.
