The “FOUNDATIONS” exhibition was exhibited in Podere la Chiesa winery, located in Terricciola, from 07/15/23 to 09/17/23.
The idea begins from the meeting of two conceptual and formal research carried out by the artist Nicolas Denino and the architect Andrea Mannocci.
The theme of the circle understood as an archetypal element of a fluid and dynamic geometry is part of the conceptual and aesthetic result of the two subjects work. The idea of these four installations is to unite artistic and architectural expressiveness in a single element, combining the communicative symbolism of art with the material and expressiveness of architecture. In fact, in this installation project there is no division between the exhibited work and the built work but a fusion between the artistic concept and the architectural space. The two territories come together to give a new aesthetic form to both artistic work and architecture.

Nicolas Denino's works fit into these geometries with an aesthetic rereading that makes the circles fluid elements, amplifying the three-dimensionality of the space. The circles leave their place to migrate into new perspectives and spaces, conquering new "Foundations" and places. The symbolic and alchemical references of these installations and geometries are linked to wine, element, basis and true essence of this place, a fluid and complex liquid. An exhibition that is an initiation, a journey that the two travelers "Nicolas" and "Andrea" began some time ago in their wanderings in the Mediterranean.
